Elliott Erwitt belongs to the photography pantheon, known for his portraits (Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy) and witty depictions of everyday life. He was recently honored with a retrospective at the International Center of Photography. Tonight we celebrate his lesser-known forays directing documentary film, presenting 3 shorts: The Many Faces of Dustin Hoffman (1968); Beauty Knows No Pain (1971); and Red, White and Bluegrass (1973); plus Elliott Erwitt: I Bark at Dogs, a new short profile by Douglas Sloan.
