HOW TO BUY TICKETS
Tickets are now on sale. We encourage you to order early to avoid sold out shows. There are four options:
There are specific ticket links on each film and event page. There is a $1 per ticket service charge for tickets purchased online, except for IFC Center members, who pay no online fees.
IN-PERSON: ADVANCE TICKETS
DOC NYC’s main box office is at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at West Third Street, open daily 10:30am–10pm). You can purchase tickets there for all DOC NYC films and events no matter where they take place. In-person advance tickets can only be purchased at IFC Center, not at SVA Theatre.
IN-PERSON: DAY OF EVENT
If available, tickets will be on sale at the specific screening venue only. Rush lines for sold out shows will form one hour before showtime at the specific screening venue.
For sold out shows, a limited number of tickets may be released 15 minutes before showtime on a first come, first served basis.
Tickets for all festival films, panels and events, unless indicated otherwise below, are:
$15 Seniors / Children
$14 IFC Center members
$25 Opening night screening of THE UNKNOWN KNOWN
$25 Opening night screening of IS THE MAN WHO IS TALL HAPPY?
$20 Gala screening of FINDING VIVIAN MAIER and MARVIN HAMLISCH: WHAT HE DID FOR LOVE

INSIDER PASS – $99
The “Insider Pass” grants access to all festival films, panels and events starting between 10:00am – 5:00pm on Monday-Friday at IFC Center – dozens of screenings and talks over five days. There will also be a handful of complimentary weekend screenings offered to Insider Passholders via email in the days leading up to the festival. The Insider Pass also covers all 10 films playing in the DOC NYC Short List section and early access to DOC NYC’s four free programs (arrive one hour before showtime to retrieve ticket; remaining inventory will be made available to general public 30 minutes before showtime).
Purchasing a pass:
Insider Passes can be purchased online here or in person at the IFC Center box office. After purchase, bring your receipt to the DOC NYC festival table in IFC Center’s lobby 11:00am-5:00pm starting November 13 to claim your badge. When retrieving your pass, please provide your email address so we can offer access to additional TBA screenings. Only a limited number of Insider Passes will be available
Using the pass:
Passholders must show their badge at the IFC Center box office to retrieve a hard ticket; tickets may be claimed on the day of the film or event, beginning when the box office opens.
DOC NYC makes a great effort to hold seat inventory for all Insider Pass holders. For panels, pass holders are always guaranteed a seat if they arrive 15 minutes before the panel begins. In the rare case of a sold-out film screening, Insider Passholders may wait in the rush line for available seats to be released on a first-come, first-served basis and will be admitted free, space permitting.
Insider Passes are not transferable.
Insider Passes do not grant admission to shows at the SVA Theatre.
