Andrew Berends directed two films set in Iraq The Blood of My Brothers and When Adnan Comes Home. His upcoming documentary Delta Boys is set in Nigeria.

Ross Kauffman is the Oscar winning director of Born Into Brothels (made with Zana Briski). He has worked abroad extensively as a cinematographer.

Pamela Yates is the director of Granito; When Mountains Tremble; and The Reckoning: The Battle for the International Criminal Court, filmed across four continents, among other films.

Note: This panel is one of three classes New York University’s School of Continuing Professional Studies is holding in conjunction with DOC NYC, combining the best of both institutions. All three classes take place on Sat. Nov. 5 at NYU’s Kimmel Center Ninth Floor, room 900. (Other two classes are Case Study: Making and Distributing Buck & How Film and Philanthropy Work Together)
