NYC PREMIERE A colorful historic mining town of 300 people tucked away in the mountains of Colorado may seem remote, but Creede is in no way immune to the culture clashes raging through the country. Everyday spaces become sites of tension, and neighborly relations grow fraught. Yet this wonderful film, and the people of Creede themselves, remind us that common ground is still possible to find in American society. - Bedatri D. Choudhury
The first screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Kahane Corn Cooperman, producer Innbo Shim, and film participants Lexy Mead, Dan Mead and Kristeen Lopez.

WORLD PREMIERE The men behind the prison walls of Sing Sing Correctional Facility find a much-needed outlet in Beyond the Block, a TED-style public speaking symposium. Conceived and developed by an incarcerated planning committee, the event allows participants to explore their humanity in otherwise adverse circumstances. Beyond follows the presenters, from auditions to triumphant moments on stage, as they express their truths in front of an audience of policy-makers, prison officials, and loved ones. – Brandon Harrison
