Whether you’re a festival veteran or a first-time filmmaker, learn how to make film festivals work for you, while developing your filmmaker community in this 5-week program. DOC NYC PRO takes it to the next level with this course led by our Director of Industry and Education Malikkah Rollins, building on our pre-recorded festival webinars to help you craft a personalized strategy.

You’ll work through the material each week on your own schedule. Then you’ll meet with a peer cohort to unpack ideas, ask questions, and apply what you’ve learned to your project. The program ends with each participant presenting a practical plan to tackle one specific challenge of their choice, supported by peer insight and shared experience. We’ll feature guest experts, to be announced at a later date.
