Who’s Who in the U.S. Doc Ecosystem: An Overview for International Filmmakers

Are you an international filmmaker trying to figure out which U.S. organizations can support your work? This session is designed to help you better understand how the U.S. documentary field is structured and how to navigate it. Through a practical overview and discussion, Jannat Gargi, from MATR Labs and creative producer (Summer of Soul), Elaisha Stokes from Chicken & Egg Films and other industry experts will explore how to engage with the range of entities that shape the field, including festivals, funders, broadcasters, distributors, and artist support programs.

Participants will leave with a clearer sense of how these elements connect, where opportunities are emerging, and how to approach relationship-building in a U.S. context.
