NYC PREMIERE Photographer Isaac Wright combines his thirst for adrenaline and post-traumatic stress disorder into an unlikely path toward healing: scaling skyscrapers and iconic structures to capture jaw-dropping images. But when people use his illegal climbs to brand him a dangerous criminal, his story transforms from daredevil adventure into a gripping fight for justice and the right to create art. Laced with exhilarating imagery, Isaac’s story is a powerful depiction of resilience, race, and art’s transformative power. - Karen McMullen

NYC PREMIERE For the filmmaker, daughter of a 9/11 survivor and descendant of Holocaust survivors, collective memory and its weaponization are familiar subjects. In her solo directorial debut, Leah Galant examines Germany’s culture of memorializing the Holocaust while caregiving for her father as his memory and speech fade from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. In the film, her stories merge with others’ who, in their own ways, also navigate inherited traumas and pain. - Bedatri D. Choudhury

WORLD PREMIERE For generations, shopping malls weren’t just a place to buy clothes but a means to share space as a society. Shiny escalators snaking through floors became a symbol of American community and economic prosperity. What does it mean when these spaces deteriorate, and the number of malls dwindles from thousands to mere hundreds? And when an Albanian immigrant semi-accidentally purchases a mall in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, what can he do to prevent it from going extinct? - Bedatri D. Choudhury

The first screening will be followed by a Q&A with director/producer Brian Becker, producer Carrie Weprin, and protagonist Leo Karruli.

US PREMIERE MySpace launched the world into a new digital age: online, but no longer anonymous. With the power to connect friends and the entire world, the platform bred internet stars, shot up fledgling showbiz careers, and supercharged Barack Obama’s campaign to the White House. Spanning everything from Tom to templates, and the infamous Top 8 feature, this comprehensive dive into MySpace scratches a nostalgic itch while exploring just how far social media has come. - Brandon Harrison

With a toy conglomerate hoping to wrest control from her grasp, von Braunhut fights back while hoping to bring the aquatic novelty back into the public consciousness. Unraveling the twisted personal machinations of founder Harold von Braunhut, the film considers how even the most unassuming plaything can have an inexplicable past. - Brandon Harrison

With histories marked by poverty, abuse, addiction, and family instability, they struggle to finish school, find work, and build independent lives, often confronting the same hardships that shaped their childhoods. Told with intimacy and compassion, the film offers a timely, deeply human look at the implications of being denied reproductive choice. - Karen McMullen
