This event is co-hosted by Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship and the BIPOC Doc Editors.

Join an in-person exploration of editing documentary features and series, examining how collaboration, feedback, remote workflows, and creative decision-making shape story arcs, structure, and the final narrative.

Participants may register for the full day or choose either half-day option, (morning or afternoon) depending on their interests and availability.

Moderated by Maya Mumma (the Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship), the morning session focuses on feature films, with Christopher White, editor of American Doctor, and Flavia de Souza, editor of Lost in the Jungle. The afternoon session centers on the doc series America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders featuring editors Stephanie Mariduena, Zachary Fuhrer, and Deijah Lee-Carroll.
