Today at DOC NYC

November 04, 2011

Start your weekend with DOC NYC! Friday’s schedule includes two Midnight Rock Docs, Herzog’s Happy People, State of the Art panel discussions, and lots more!

Note: Today’s screening of Lemon is sold-out, but you can line-up for the rush-line; if any tickets become available, they will be released 15 minutes prior to show-time. Don’t want to chance it? Tickets are still available for other great films including Kumare, a Borat-style experiment where director Vikram Gandhi poses as a guru to make a point about blind faith; Buck, about the real-life horse whisperer; and two Midnight Rock Docs (Better than Something: Jay Reatard and Cure for Pain: The Mark Sandman Story).

Also on the docket are four State of the Art panels: Art of Cinematography, Art of Editing, Case Study: Taking on Controversy, and In Conversation: Jonathan Demme. A reminder that, space permitting, current students can attend the panels for free by presenting a valid photo ID at the box office.
