UNTOLD HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES

Expected to Attend: Oliver Stone

The never-broadcast prologue to Oliver Stone’s epic, ten-hour Showtime series The Untold History of the United States (“I cannot recommend it highly enough,” enthused The Guardian’s Glenn Greenwald) deepens the provocative filmmaker’s exploration of how the United States became an empire. Focusing on events in the lead-up to World War II, this two-hour segment applies the radical perspective of Stone and historian Peter Kuznick to tell a version of history you never got in school. After the screening, Stone will take part in an extended conversation.

NOTE: This screening is SOLD-OUT. Based on last-minute availability, a limited number of tickets may be released for sale 15 minutes before showtime on a first come, first served basis to patrons in the RUSH LINE.
