Marc Lesser Filmmaker
Marc Lesser is an Emmy nominated director and founder of Lucky Tiger Productions in New York City. Recent projects include producing and editing Keïta La a documentary short about renowned photographer Seydou Keïta, currently screening at the Brooklyn Museum; producing, directing, shooting and editing The Memories of Others: Akihiko Okamura’s Ireland a documentary short, screening at festivals worldwide; directing episodes of WeSpeak, a narrative television series that educates immigrants about their rights, that earned him several Emmy Awards nominations, including Best Director; producing and directing short documentaries for non-profits and cultural institutions such as the International Center of Photography and the International Red Cross Museum in Geneva. His VR piece The Immersive Saul Leiter Studio Experience, premiered at the Bunkamura Museum in Tokyo in July 2023. He was a producer and cinematographer for the award-winning feature length documentary Greenlit, which premiered at SXSW in 2010 and The Pathological Optimist, which was released theatrically in 2017. Marc received an M.F.A. in filmmaking from the City College of New York.
