Carolyn Gartner, LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Carolyn Gartner, LCSW, FT is the founder and director of The Center For Integrated Grief. She is a licensed clinical social worker and a Fellow in Thanatology (the study of dying, death and bereavement). She has an advanced certification in grief counseling and a certification in Mindfulness. She utilizes IFS and Jungian Shadow Work in her practice.

Prior to this she worked in hospice for 9 years. She wrote a book about her experience available on Audible: The Gritty Side of Grace. She has been interviewed by Huffpost, Parade Magazine, American Tributaries Podcast and in the documentary Paw Prints, about pet grief. She graduated from NYU Film School with a BFA and utilizes narrative storytelling in her practice as well. In 2011 she took the Buddhist Refuge Vow. Singing is her happy place.
