Sheridan O’Donnell Filmmaker
Sheridan O’Donnell is a disabled (legally blind), Korean-American writer-director based in Los Angeles whose work centers on identity and family through character-driven stories that balance catharsis, darkness, and humor. His feature debut, Little Brother, starring J.K. Simmons, won the Audience Award at the 2023 Atlanta Film Festival and was distributed by Gravitas Ventures. He most recently directed Rising Phoenix: A New Revolution, a feature-length documentary follow-up to the Emmy-winning Rising Phoenix, starring Lauren Ridloff (Eternals) and Jim LeBrecht (Crip Camp), produced by P&G Studios, HTYT, and Ventureland.
Sheridan is a fellow of the Inevitable Foundation’s Accelerate program, mentored by Alex Garland, Destin Daniel Cretton, and Andrew Ahn, and is also a Ryan Murphy HALF Initiative Directing Mentee and Film Independent Episodic Directing Intensive Fellow. He has spoken at Cannes Lions, the Hollywood Radio & TV Society, and for clients including Samsung. Sheridan is represented by CAA, Odenkirk-Provissiero, and EP Talent.
