CASE STUDY: MAKING AND DISTRIBUTING BUCK

CASE STUDY: MAKING AND DISTRIBUTING BUCK

Co-presented by NYU-SCPS Design, Digital Arts and Film program.

Focusing on this year’s breakout hit Buck, about the real-life horse whisperer Buck Brannaman, this in-depth case study traces the key steps that a first-time filmmaker took to get her film made and into theaters. Panelists include director Cindy Meehl, producer Julie Goldman, sales agent Josh Braun, and distribution specialist Ryan Werner of Sundance Selects. Note: Buck plays at DOC NYC on Fri. Nov 4, 9:00pm.

Note: This panel is one of three classes New York University’s School of Continuing Professional Studies is holding in conjunction with DOC NYC, combining the best of both institutions.  All three classes take place on Sat. Nov. 5 at NYU’s Kimmel Center Ninth Floor, room 900.  (Other two classes are Telling Global Stories and How Film & Philanthropy Work Together)
