Acclaimed cinematographers share clips from challenging assignments and tell the stories behind how they got the shot. The discussion will also cover how changing camera technology affects documentary aesthetics. Moderator: Hugo Perez (director, Neither Memory Nor Magic).

Bob Richman began his career with the Maysles brothers. As Director of Photography, his films include Paradise Lost 1, 2 and 3, My Architect: A Son’s Journey; Metallica: Some Kind of Monster; The September Issue. He made his directorial debut with Ahead of Time.
Michael Tucker is the director and cinematographer of Fightville (playing at DOC NYC); How to Fold a Flag; The Prisoner or: How I Planned to Kill Tony Blair; and Gunner Palace (all made in collaboration with Petra Epperlein).
