Each PRO Day Pass grants access to a single conference day comprised of several panel discussions and all day access to the Festival Lounge where you can enjoy complimentary breakfast and happy hour.
Pitch Day 1 (Thursday, November 13)

In a time of upheaval, how do we turn disruption into a chance to redefine documentary storytelling and who gets to decide what comes next? This day takes an unflinching look at the forces reshaping the field, from AI and ethics to political pressure and shrinking funding. Together, we’ll ask what’s really happening and explore the opportunities we can build in response.

How do editors and directors shape not just footage, but the very heartbeat of a film’s story? This day is for editors, directors, and anyone interested in how to craft a film in the edit. Through case studies and behind-the-scenes insights, we’ll break down how scenes take shape, what makes them land, and how the edit drives both emotion and story.
The Future of Funding (While Surviving Now) (Monday, November 17)
What does it take to fund stories now and keep funding alive for the future? This day dives into the realities of today’s tighter budgets and changing support systems. Through conversations with funders, filmmakers, and innovators, we’ll explore creative approaches and emerging opportunities.
Directing & Producing: Leading the Vision (Tuesday, November 18)
What does it take to carry the vision for a film? This day looks at what it means to lead creatively, logistically, and emotionally. Through real stories and case studies, we’ll explore holding the vision, making tough calls, and staying grounded through creativity and chaos.
Cinematography & the Visual Language of Docs (Wednesday, November 19)

How can choices behind the lens turn everyday moments into powerful visual stories that stay with us? Accomplished cinematographers will share how they craft scenes, build meaning through imagery, and navigate the real-world challenges of filming nonfiction.
Distribution: Where Are We and What’s Next? (Thursday, November 20)
How do we keep telling urgent stories when the paths to audiences are narrowing? How can we pivot from a changing distribution landscape to reclaim our power and find new ways to reach audiences? This day gets real about what’s broken, what’s shifting, and how filmmakers and industry voices are creating new paths forward.
