Tuesday at DOC NYC

November 08, 2010

It’s the last day of DOC NYC, but don’t be sad yet! There are nine fantastic films playing today, including a very special presentation of Kevin Brownlow’s Cecil B. DeMille: American Epic at 8 pm. Brownlow will be answering questions after the film, and then he jets to Los Angeles where he’ll be accepting an honorary Academy Award (along with Francis Ford Coppola and Jean-Luc Godard). And when have you ever had the chance to chat with an Oscar recipient? Buy Tickets.

Metropolis Award-winner and Audience Favorite, To Be Heard, closes out the festival at 10:30. Not just about poetry, this film artfully portrays the challenges of teenagers in one of the toughest parts of New York City, following them as they struggle to transform their lives. Buy Tickets.
