HOW FILM AND PHILANTHROPY WORK TOGETHER

HOW FILM AND PHILANTHROPY WORK TOGETHER

Co-presented by the NYU-SCPS George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy
and Fundraising
.

Philanthropists and documentary makers both need each other’s support. Filmmakers need financing and outreach partners; and philanthropists need the power of film to reach wider audiences. In this class, Dan Cogan of Impact Partners leads a discussion between key players from both worlds to explore new opportunities for partnerships between filmmaking and philanthropy.

Note: This panel is one of three classes New York University’s School of Continuing Professional Studies is holding in conjunction with DOC NYC, combining the best of both institutions. All three classes take place on Sat. Nov. 5 at NYU’s Kimmel Center Ninth Floor, room 900. (Other two classes are Case Study: Making and Distributing Buck & How Film and Telling Global Stories)
